Where to Find Cheap Outdoor Furniture on Clearance

You can often find cheap outdoor furniture on clearance in the patio sections of home-improvement stores, big-box retailers, and local furniture stores as they make room for new seasonal merchandise. Browse their online clearance pages before visiting, then compare the delivered price—not just the sale tag—because shipping or pickup costs can change which deal is cheapest.

Late summer and fall are useful times to look, but selection can be limited when you wait for deeper markdowns. If you need a particular size or number of seats, measure your space first and decide which requirements you can compromise on before you shop.

A clearance set can be a better value when you need several coordinated seats, while individual clearance pieces may cost less if you only need to replace one chair or add a small table. If a five-piece arrangement suits your space, use our 5-Piece Outdoor Patio Furniture Set planning guide to think through placement before comparing it with smaller or larger options.

Leave enough room to pull out chairs and walk around the furniture, and account for doors that swing into the patio or deck. Our team recommends comparing what is included in each deal, since a low set price is less useful if you still need to buy pieces you consider essential.

Outlet stores, warehouse sales, and local secondhand marketplaces can give you more options when nearby clearance sections are picked over. With secondhand furniture, inspect joints, frames, and cushions in person when possible; with store clearance, confirm the return terms before buying a final-sale item.

Compare materials as well as prices, particularly if the furniture will sit uncovered in rain or strong sun. A piece you can reasonably clean, protect, and store may serve you better than a cheaper option that does not fit how you use your outdoor space.

Add any delivery fee, sales tax, replacement cushions, and weather covers to your budget so you can compare clearance finds on equal terms. If you can pick up furniture yourself, measure your vehicle and the packaged item first; otherwise, a delivered option may be the more practical deal.

When you find a promising markdown, verify the dimensions and included pieces before committing, especially if clearance stock is limited. That quick comparison helps you avoid buying furniture simply because the discount looks large.
